Turkish Airlines celebrated 20 years of service in Zagreb

Turkish Airlines marked the 20th anniversary of the first Istanbul – Zagreb flight with a special event in the International Departures Area. It was a token of gratitude for the cooperation with all the people employed at the Zagreb Airport and there was a prize competition for all the employees in which Turkish Airlines gave away 10 return tickets to Istanbul in business and economy class.

Together with MZLZ Management, the ceremony was attended by His Excellence Mustafa Babür Hızlan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Croatia, Haşim Koç, Attaché, Sentürk Aydınyer, Defence Attaché and Uğur Cantimur, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Croatia with his associates.

In his speech, Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, MZLZ Management Board member expressed gratitude to Turkish Airlines on its significant contribution to the airport’s traffic and noted that Turkish Airlines, with its two daily flights to Istanbul, recorded an 11% rise in passenger traffic this year.

Uğur Cantimur, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Croatia, thanked Zagreb Airport for their long-lasting collaboration and emphasized that Turkish Airlines, with its good network of flights from Istanbul, connects Zagreb and Croatia with the whole world. Two years ago it was with two flights a week, today it is 14 flights a week. He thanked the Management and the employees of the airport for their collaboration and support throughout the years.

His Excellence Mustafa Babür Hızlan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Croatia, pointed out that Turkish Airlines is not only an airline company, but also a builder, building bridges of friendship between Turkey and Croatia, two friendly nations.
