Ryanair announced 12 lines to ZAG

Ryanair, one of Europe's largest low-cost airlines, announced its arrival to Zagreb at a virtual conference today. The airline announced 36 weekly flights and 12 new routes connecting Zagreb to many destinations across Europe from June this year. This will boost air traffic and the tourism industry in the region, and in support of this are vaccination programs and thus paving the way for the gradual opening of Europe to travel this summer.

Ryanair announced to deliver:
  • two aircraft in base
  • 60 direct jobs
  • up to 36 weekly flights
  • 12 new routes – London Stansted, Oslo Torp, Gothenburg, Dortmund, Frankfurt Hahn, Memmingen, Karlsruhe, Brussels, Paris, Milan, Rome and Podgorica

Passengers from Croatia, as it was announced, can now book their summer holidays on even lower fares and with the option to take advantage of Ryanair’s zero change fee until October 2021 if the plans change. Ryanair has launched a seat sale with fares available from just 151,00 HRK for flights until the end of March 2022, which must be booked by this Thursday, April 1 until midnight.

President and CEO of MZLZ Jsc, Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, addressed the participants at the conference and emphasized: “International Zagreb Airport is glad to welcome Ryanair’s arrival, which will solidify its position as a regional hub. Arrival of Europe’s no.1 airline will not only enable our passengers to travel directly to more destinations but will also increase the number of visitors, which will directly contribute to the economy and affect the development of tourism in Croatia, especially in Zagreb.
