Introduced direct international flights Zagreb - Pristina

Kosovo's MyWings Aviation, together with Croatian carriers, has connected the capitals of Croatia and Kosovo
The inauguration ceremony held at the passenger terminal of the Zagreb Airport today marked the establishment of the regular Zagreb-Pristina route which connects Zagreb directly with another international destination during the winter flight schedule.
Flights between the capitals of Croatia and Kosovo were introduced as part of a joint project of Kosovo's MyWings Aviation and Croatian carriers - Trade Air and Croatia Airlines - and are planned three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

As part of the project, flights by the leading operator at Pristina Airport, MyWings Aviation, are planned with Trade Air aircraft, which will lease Dash 8-Q400 from Croatia Airlines (76 seats) by the end of March 2022. With the start of the summer flight schedule in 2022, it is planned to increase the number of available seats, when Trade Air’s aircraft Airbus 319 should be flying on the route.

Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, CEO of International Zagreb Airport, said: We are pleased to mark the opening of another new line and a new destination in the winter flight schedule in Zagreb. The direct line between Zagreb and Pristina will certainly contribute to a better connection between the two capitals and have a positive effect on the gradual recovery of air traffic in both Zagreb and Pristina.”

Gafur Aliu, MyWings Aviation President of the Board pointed out: We are very pleased that, as part of this joint project, we have provided a direct connection between Kosovo and Croatia and I believe that passengers will recognize the value of the new service in the market. Zagreb is the 18th destination that MyWings Aviation is operating from Pristina, and in addition to code-share cooperation with Croatia Airlines, we offer passengers a wide range of destinations at affordable prices. I especially thank the Croatian carriers Trade Air and Croatia Airlines for recognizing the potential of the project, and special thanks goes to Mr. Oleg Butković, Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure and Ms. Ermina Lekaj-Prljaskaj, the Honourable Member of the Croatian Parliament, for wholeheartedly supporting this project. I believe that the new route, which further expands the network of our lines from Pristina, will positively contribute to business and connectivity between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Kosovo.”

Marko Cvijin, Trade Air’s director, said at the ceremony: “We are proud that during the global pandemic, in cooperation with MyWings Aviation and Croatia Airlines, we launched this new line between Zagreb and Pristina. Trade Air, as a private Croatian airline, has been operating charter lines for 27 years, while in domestic traffic we are connecting remote areas of Croatia. We are glad that with this new line we will contribute to the recovery of international traffic at Zagreb Airport and that our Airbus A319 aircraft will be operating regularly between the capitals of Kosovo and Croatia from March next year.”

Marija Pavić, Sales Manager of Croatia Airlines, pointed out: We are happy to join the project in which we have provided Dash 8-Q400 aircraft with a capacity suitable for traffic on this route in the winter. At the same time, we offered our commercial platform, thus ensuring the sale of a certain number of airline tickets through our sales channels. In this context, commercial (code share) cooperation with Trade Air is an added value because, in addition to direct flights between Zagreb and Pristina, we offer passengers connecting flights to European destinations, and through them to destinations around the world.”
