Air China links China and Croatia

Air China today inaugurated its new route connecting Beijing, Bucharest, and Zagreb, further strengthening air links between the People's Republic of China and Republic of Croatia. The service will operate three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
 
The introduction of Air China's scheduled service creates new travel opportunities for both leisure and business passengers, improving accessibility between the Croatian and Chinese markets. It is expected to contribute to the continued growth of tourism flows while facilitating stronger commercial ties, investment opportunities, and broader economic cooperation.
 
The inaugural flight was marked by a formal ceremony held at Zagreb Airport, attended by numerous distinguished guests, representatives of government institutions, the tourism sector, business community, and aviation industry. Alongside Zagreb Airport Management Board representatives, remarks were delivered by remarks were delivered by H.E. Qi Qianjin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Croatia, who emphasized: “This China-Croatia flight is more than an air route; it is a bridge of friendship connecting the hearts of our two peoples. Its launch will further unlock the potential for bilateral cooperation and give a strong impetus to exchanges and mutual learning in trade, tourism, culture, sports, education, and other fields.”
 
Monika Udovičić, State Secretary, at the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia, also addressed the audience, underscoring the significance of the new route for Croatian tourism and bilateral relations between Croatia and China: “The launch of this service represents an important milestone for Croatian tourism, as it strengthens our connectivity with one of the world's most significant outbound travel markets. Chinese visitors are of great importance to Croatia's tourism sector, and I am particularly pleased that this new route will provide them with even more convenient and accessible opportunities to travel to Croatia. Building a strong presence in long-haul markets requires sustained efforts through improved connectivity, targeted promotion, and long-term partnerships, and this new service is a significant step in that direction. Enhanced air links also create greater opportunities for economic, investment, and sports cooperation, further strengthening the relationship between Croatia and China. I am confident that this route will contribute to promoting Croatia even more strongly within the Chinese market and support continued growth in tourism and broader bilateral exchanges.”
 
The new Beijing-Bucharest-Zagreb service opens a new chapter in relations between the People's Republic of China and Republic of Croatia., bringing people, businesses, and communities closer together.
