Air China today inaugurated its new route connecting Beijing, Bucharest, and Zagreb, further strengthening air links between the People's Republic of China and Republic of Croatia. The service will operate three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The introduction of Air China's scheduled service creates new travel opportunities for both leisure and business passengers, improving accessibility between the Croatian and Chinese markets. The inaugural flight was marked by a formal ceremony held at Zagreb Airport, attended by numerous distinguished guests, representatives of government institutions, the tourism sector, business community, and aviation industry. Chinese visitors are of great importance to Croatia's tourism sector, and I am particularly pleased that this new route will provide them with even more convenient and accessible opportunities to travel to Croatia. Building a strong presence in long-haul markets requires sustained efforts through improved connectivity, targeted promotion, and long-term partnerships, and this new service is a significant step in that direction. Enhanced air links also create greater opportunities for economic, investment, and sports cooperation, further strengthening the relationship between Croatia and China.
