TAX FREE Refund - Information for Passengers
Passengers eligible for VAT refunds can use the TAX FREE Refund service at Zagreb Airport in accordance with the guidelines below.
Where can I validate my TAX FREE form?
TAX FREE form refund is available at SonusArt Store.Opening hours: daily from 7am - 9pm
TAX FREE validation is available at the Customs office.
TAX FREE refunds are possible exclusively during the specified SonusArt shop working hours and only after a customs officer has validated your TAX FREE form.
Upon your arrival at the SonusArt store, a SonusArt representative will finalize the processing of your TAX FREE refund form.
If you are travelling outside SonusArt opening hours
The VAT refund process does not end at SonusArt.After the Customs Officer validates your TAX FREE form, you may submit the document in the following ways:
- via the Global Blue mobile app
- by inserting the Global Blue envelope into the post mailbox
These options are intended for passengers travelling outside the store’s working hours or those who do not have time to wait for additional document processing.
Each Global Blue form contains detailed instructions for document submission.

(both post mailboxes are located Landside, before boarding pass and security check points), namely:
- Departures, Level 2, Check-in area, next to the Customs Office
- Arrivals, Ground Floor, Meet & Greet area
Relevant Customs Office
- Departures, Level 2, before security and boarding pass check points.
SonusArt Shop
- Schengen Departures, 2nd floor - after Security Screening
Important Notes
- Customs validation of your TAX FREE form is mandatory before leaving the Republic of Croatia.
- Please arrive at the airport with sufficient time to complete Customs and TAX FREE procedures.
- VAT refunds cannot be processed after you have left the EU.
