HUSEYIN BAHADIR BEDIR, President of the Management Board and CEO of Zagreb Airport was recognized by the jury in the category of The best foreign manager in 2023.
The Croatian Association of Managers and Entrepreneurs (HUM) CROMAon Feb 15, awarded the Manager of the Year 2023 award at the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb.
The most successful Croatian managers and businessmen are gathering for the 33 year in a row with the same goal - to reward the most outstanding representatives of their community in the past year. A total of 11 awards were given in different categories to managers who stand out for their entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm and professional, ethical and responsible business.
The Manager of the Year Award is awarded by an independent jury consisting of experienced business leaders, members of the Executive and Board of Directors of HUM-CROMA, representatives of the academic community, representatives of the media, representatives of the Croatian Business Association for Sustainable Development, and the previous year's Manager of the Year award winners join them every year.
Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, President of the Management Board CEO Zagreb Airport was awarded as The best foreign manager in the Republic of Croatia in 2023. The award was presented by professor Mladen Vedriš, and after accepting the award, Huseyin Bahadir Bedir said:
"I'm deeply honoured and thankful by this recognition. Also, I am very grateful to everyone who has always been a part of my journey, my family, my friends, and especially to my dear colleagues from Zagreb Airport: members of the Management Board, Executive Committee, and all employees of Zagreb Airport. I dedicate this award to all of them who are giving their efforts on this path every day. To be awarded as The best foreign manager in the Republic of Croatia is a great and special honour, but also an obligation to persevere on the path of excellence. In case of Zagreb Airport that means to continue to secure the best possible service, but also to continue with a responsible development policy which will contribute to the overall economic development of Republic of Croatia, such beautiful country. I sincerely thank everyone who recognized that efforts."
The awards were given under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Zagreb.
"All well-organized organizations have their purpose, vision and mission, well-developed goals and plans for the future, and the most important ingredient of success are people, managers and entrepreneurs - they are the drivers of everything in society and on their innovation, enthusiasm, orientation, work and care the success of every modern company and country rests on sustainability and future generations", said the president of HUM-CROMA, Ana Soldo, at the ceremony.
