Korean Air's Dreamliner B787-9 aircraft, has started operating on the route between Seoul, South Korea and Zagreb, Croatia as of January 2019.

The airline's eco-friendly, highly-efficient B787-9, also referred to as the 'Dreamliner', was welcomed upon landing at Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb on January 4, 2019.

Korean Air has launched its regular service between Seoul and Zagreb in September 2018, marking the first regular service connecting East Asia and Croatia directly. The route is currently merging with the Zurich route during the winter season, operating three times a week (Mon/Wed/Fri).

The airline’s service between Seoul and Zagreb provides a convenient schedule for travel between Seoul and Zagreb. Those passengers arriving in Seoul and wishing to travel onwards enjoy easy connections at Incheon International Airport, with access to a wide range of destinations for both business and leisure travel on Korean Air's modern fleet.

“I congratulate Korean Air on introducing Dreamliner on the route to Zagreb, and becoming the first airline to fly with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Zagreb. I believe that Korean Air will continue to contribute to positive traffic results that Franjo Tuđman Airport is recording continually and to overall image to Zagreb as a tourist destination “, said Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, CEO of MZLZ Jsc.

“I am very pleased that Korean Air is flying with Dreamliner on the route Zagreb – Seoul and that we are the first airline to use this type of aircraft on the route to Zagreb. We will be flying Dreamliner throughout the entire winter season, namely from January 2nd to end of March 2019”, said Yeong Ho Choe, general manager of Korean Air for CEE region.
