Dangerous Goods Carried by Passengers or CrewDangerous goods are articles or substances which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment and which are shown in the list of dangerous goods in Technical instructions for the safe transport of dangerous goods by air (ICAO Doc 9284 AN/905) or which are classified according to Technical instructions for the safe transport of dangerous goods by air.
For safety reasons it is forbidden to carry any dangerous goods either in carry-on baggage, checked baggage or on one's person. However, international standards under certain conditions, allow passengers to carry dangerous goods either in carry-on baggage, checked baggage or on their person. Passengers should be aware that airlines have the right to refuse the carriage of certain dangerous articles or substances and additional restrictions implemented by countries (depending on destination) may limit or forbid the carriage of certain dangerous articles or substances in the interest of aviation safety.
