In 1966 in newly opened Duty Free Shop and Tax Free Shop it is possible to buy domestic merchandise without taxes.

In 1974 new organisational division is formed OOUR “Trading and Catering”.

In early 80's four new DFS were open in the international departures and one in international arrivals.

In 1984 new Tax Free Shop and Wine shop was open.

In late 1986 first DFS opened in hotel Intercontinental.

During 1987 other DFS were opened in Zagreb, Velika Gorica, Novo Mesto, Kutina, Jastrebarsko, and one at  “Aerodrome Zagreb”.

In 1989 these DFS were closed due to new Laws and Regulations.

DFS in transit area in 1990 was reconstructed, expanded and modernized.

1991-1993 in cooperation with Croatia Airlines Zagreb Airport provided supply of airplanes with foreign merchandise.

1993 - 1996 in cooperation with UN, Zagreb Airport provided supply to UNPROFOR

Later on the cooperation was extended to UNTAES in East Slavonia, fraction of SFOR in B&H, and currently to KFOR in Kosovo.

In 1995 new news kiosk opened in Passenger Terminal

In 1997 Zagreb Airport Trading Ltd. is founded.

In later part of 1997 new shop "Follow me" with brands such as: Paul&Shark, Missoni, F. Perry & Kenzo was open in cooperation with Croatia Airlines.

In 1998 a warehouse for high-tariff merchandise opened in free zone "Luka Ploče" for supply needs of SFOR in B&H.

In 1998 new DFS was opened in part of the international departures (400m2  in area). Sales were organized in part as self-service and part in as counters.

At the location of the Zagreb Fair in 1999 a new CD-shop was open for supply needs of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Croatia.

In 2000 a  “Bye-Buy Shop? and “Fly-Buy Shop” opened in landside area of the Passenger Terminal.

Significant Accomplishments

Alongside opening of the new, expansion and modernisation of older shops in domestic and international area of the Passenger Terminal and Zagreb, new preconditions for assortment and work conditions improvement were met. In other words, satisfied employees have certainly improved their customer relationship and indirectly facilitated growth in profits.

Business cooperation with following respectful business partners is continued: KENZO (apparel), FURLA (leather merchandise), VERSACE (apparel), BOSS (apparel), LACOSTE (apparel).
