An international, public tender for the selection of a strategic partner to build and operate the new passenger terminal is to be published in October 2010.

Zagreb, August 5th 2010:  Zagreb Airport has moved one step closer to making the new passenger terminal a reality with the government's decision to initiate a public call for tender, thus facilitating the selection of a strategic partner that will invest in the new passenger terminal and associated infrastructure. The strategic partner will be granted a concession to build and operate the new terminal under conditions to be published October 15th, 2010.  Tender documentation is currently in preparation of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction as well as Zagreb Airport. In order to be eligible to participate, potential partners must be highly experienced in airport construction and internationally recognized in the area of international airport management.

Passenger numbers in Zagreb are expected to reach 120 000 in the first twelve months. 

This Thursday easyJet, Europe’s leading low-fares airline, has put on sale two new flights from Zagreb to Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Gatwick. The new routes will start operating on 1st November 2010 and 11 February 2011. Tickets will be available from as little as 31.99€, including taxes and charges.

This summer HŽ Passenger Transport will once again complement the eight-hour journey to the seaside by providing a disco wagon, which is an additional service on the seasonal night trains 1823/1822, in the direction Zagreb Main Railway Station-Split-Zagreb Main Railway Station. By choosing this train, the passengers will enjoy a more interesting journey, drink cold beverages onboard, and take part in organized entertainment in the buffet car added to the train, provided for  passengers’ pleasure and enriching the transport services. This year a disco wagon will be organized by HŽ Passenger Transport in the period from July 16 - August 14, 2010. It will be added to the following trains:

 

1823- departure Fridays from Zagreb Main Station at 9.33 pm, arrival in Split at 5.49 am

 

1822- departure Saturdays from Split at 9.47 pm, arrival to Zagreb Main Station at 5.38 am

 

Every passenger with a regular tariff ticket can enter the disco wagon.
