An international, public tender for the selection of a strategic partner to build and operate the new passenger terminal is to be published in October 2010.
Zagreb, August 5th 2010: Zagreb Airport has moved one step closer to making the new passenger terminal a reality with the government's decision to initiate a public call for tender, thus facilitating the selection of a strategic partner that will invest in the new passenger terminal and associated infrastructure. The strategic partner will be granted a concession to build and operate the new terminal under conditions to be published October 15th, 2010. Tender documentation is currently in preparation of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction as well as Zagreb Airport. In order to be eligible to participate, potential partners must be highly experienced in airport construction and internationally recognized in the area of international airport management.
Passenger numbers in Zagreb are expected to reach 120 000 in the first twelve months.
